1. Who we are

Lusa is provided by Nexusbyte - Unipessoal Lda ("we", "us"). When you use Lusa you are entering into an agreement with Nexusbyte - Unipessoal Lda. You can contact us at info@sentivue.com.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or continuing to use Lusa, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Lusa.

3. The service

Lusa teaches European Portuguese (pt-PT) to people living in or moving to Portugal. It includes survival lessons, pronunciation drills and an AI voice tutor that holds spoken practice conversations and produces practice reports.

4. Your account

• You must be of legal age to enter a contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission. If you use Lusa for an organisation, you confirm you can bind it.
• Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Give accurate information and keep it up to date.

5. Acceptable use

You must not misuse Lusa. In particular, you must not:

• use it for anything unlawful, fraudulent or for spam;
• infringe anyone's intellectual property or other rights;
• interfere with its security, for example by spreading malware, probing for weaknesses, or scraping or harvesting data;
• reverse engineer, copy, resell or redistribute Lusa, or get around usage limits.

6. The AI tutor

• You must not use the AI tutor to create illegal, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit content, impersonate real people (including deepfakes), create malware, or try to bypass its safety rules ("jailbreaking").
• You are responsible for what you say to the tutor, for having the right to any content you provide, and for how you use its replies.
• AI replies can be inaccurate. Lessons about places such as Finanças, the Loja do Cidadão, landlords or SNS 24 are language practice only. They are not legal, tax, medical or other professional advice. Check important information with the official source. In a medical emergency call 112.
• We may remove or restrict content, refuse or filter replies, and suspend accounts that break these rules.

7. Intellectual property

Nexusbyte - Unipessoal Lda owns Lusa and its content, software, documentation and branding. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Lusa within your plan. You keep any rights you have in what you say or type. You give us a limited licence to process that content only to provide the service to you. If you believe content on Lusa infringes your rights, email info@sentivue.com. We will review the claim and may remove the content. Accounts that repeatedly infringe will be closed.

8. Plans, payment and cancellation

Lusa has a free plan (Unit 1 and 3 live practice sessions) and Lusa Pro (€14.99 per month or €99 per year), which renews automatically until cancelled.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, taxes, renewals, cancellations and refunds are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms. See also our Refund Policy.

9. Availability and warranties

We work to keep Lusa running well, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, Lusa is provided "as is", without implied warranties such as merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid for Lusa in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, data or goodwill. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited by law. You agree to compensate us for claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of Lusa or your breach of these terms.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access for a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You can stop using Lusa at any time. When your account ends, we delete or anonymise your data as described in our Privacy Notice. You can request a copy before then by emailing info@sentivue.com.

12. General

• These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, and disputes go to its courts. This does not affect mandatory consumer protections where you live.
• We are not responsible for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
• You may not transfer your account without our consent. We may transfer our agreement as part of a merger or acquisition.
• We may update these terms and will tell you about significant changes.
